Attention and Working memory are crucial in day to day life. It is necessary to maintain proper sync between them for effectiveness at any task. Attention allows information to be taken in. Working memory helps the brain make sense of it. An important component of Attention is "Alertness." While on the road, it is necessary to stay alert (or pay attention), so that the information on the road can be processed by the working memory, for proper co-ordination. In case the driver does not pay attention on the road, there are high chances of a mishap happening.
