Distinguish between relative and absolute poverty and discuss the distribution of each throughout the world. What is the impact on women and children??
Relative poverty is termed as the poverty in sense of economy , a standard income has been set by the economic department of a particular country to measure the income standards and the percentage of population which earns below that poverty level and vice versa too. On the other side , absolute poverty is the poverty related to personal income and finance which depends from person to person . In acse of absolute poverty a set of standard is assumed to measure the income of the person which is wheather below that standard or above that standard.
Relative poverty depends on the economy of country and absolute poverty depends on the personal income of the person thus distribution of poverty also depends in the same way. Relative poverty is more effective in the developing economies to measure the improvements etc done by the country overall . Absolute poverty is more used in the developed economies where a particular person might not be able to find suitable job or has not sufficient income so absolute poverty level goes up.
Poverty as a whole , wheather it is relative or absolute, affects every person in the society . regarding women , poverty affects them in their plannings for the future like responsibilities of their childrens etc and health and nutrition is the key issues . For childrens several factors are there which affects them like foods, clothings, home, culture, carelessness, malnutrition due to lack of proper diets, education are got effected.
