I am selecting a Swiss psychologist names Jean Piaget. He had devoted his whole life in the research of child’s brain and thought processes development. Piaget was born in 1896 in Neuchâtel, in Switzerland. He defined himself as a 'genetic' epistemologist, interested in the process of the qualitative development of knowledge. He considered cognitive structures development as a differentiation of biological regulations.

By using Piaget’s theory, educators focus on their students as learners. As a result of this focus, education is learner-center and constructivist-based to an extent. Piaget’s theory allows teachers to view students as individual learners who add new concepts to prior knowledge to construct, or build, understanding for themselves. Teachers who use a learner-centered approach as a basis for their professional practices incorporate the several dispositions.They also involve learners’ emotions and create a learning environment in which students feel safe. He is most famously known for his theory of cognitive development that looked at how children develop intellectually throughout the course of childhood.
