There is a strong bond between him and his family.It seems from the quote that family is important part of life for David so as David also to his family.Yes, the quote is very thoughtful and gives deep insight of their mindset.
  • David Franklin is better known as Grim Sleeper. He is a convicted serial Killer. He was responsible for at least 10 murders and one attempted to murder. Between 1985 to 2016. He killed 9 females and one girl. The known killings began in 1985 in South Los Angeles. The "Grim Sleeper" apparently took a 14-year hiatus after his last known crime in 1988 and the murders that resumed in 2002. Many of his victims were sex workers. According to One witness Franklin frequently brought sex workers into his home. He shot all of his victims with a .25 calibre gun. Franklin took many photographs of nude women and kept the records in his garage.
  • On June 6, 2016, the jury recommended the death sentence, and on August 10, 2016, Los Angeles Superior Court sentenced him to death for each of the ten victims named in the verdict.

To me General Deterrence theory may be applied. General deterrence is a theory in criminal justice, which seeks to curb illegal conduct. To deter means to discourage. Under the theory, the criminals will avoid committing crimes from fear of the strict consequences.
