Answer #1

Corporal punishment is defined as the use of physical force causing pain but not wounds as a means of incorporating discipline in the young ones. According to my opinion physical punishment usually doesn't work. One should always find alternative ways to make the kid understand certain situations and to teach them how to behave. The main disadvantages associated with corporal punishment which makes it difficult to discipline the children are listed below:

  • It makes the child hate himself and others.
  • Physical punishment makes the child think that there must be something awfully wrong with him to be treated so badly.
  • With corporal punishment, the child is not able to learn how conflicts are resolved effectively.\
  • A parent hits a child, the child moves away from the parent.
  • Corporal punishment may evoke sexual effects and problems.
