Should the government treat marijuana the same way it does alcohol?

Answer #1

The government should treat marijuana the same way it does alcohol. I would agree with the stance of; President Obama on this issue who said; "look, I’ve been very clear about my belief that we should try to discourage substance abuse, and I am not somebody who believes that legalization is a panacea, but I do believe that treating this as a public-health issue, the same way we do with cigarettes or alcohol, is the much smarter way to deal with it”. Apart from this the fact that; medical marijuana has not been approved by the FDA as not enough research is available to prove it works makes it more reasonable not to approve.marijuana and treat it the same way as alcohol.
