Complex society, means a society in which food is grown in surplus. Surplus food, large population, system of writings, science, art, literature, religion and government systems are the charachterstics of a complex society.

Mesopotamia was a land between two rivers. It was a fertile land. Water was also present in abundance. These factors caused developement of complex societies in Mesopotamia.

Dynamic feedback means society was not stable. People were adapting according to the changing environment. They utilised the opportunities and struggled against the odds. All these led to developement of complex society.
