Neural adaptation is another process that decreases the amount of stimulation that requires processing. Here, process the sensitivity of the sensory receptors undergo change in relation to a constant stimulus. After constant exposure to a particular stimulus, their perceived stimulation decreases due to a corresponding decrease of the sense organs’ sensitivity.
