Answer #1

Stop and Frisk is a practice by a New york police department used for searching, detaining and questioning civilians for weapons and other suspicious acts. This is dervied from the English law and has been used world wide in the police department. However a police can only search someone who has been arrested or obtained a search warrant. There is also a question arising on innocent and racial discrimination as they feel police stop certain peoplle only from specific races on suspicious behaviour. In United States the it is known as Terry stop.Unlike a proper search a frisk refers to patting on the outer clothing.
