The first factor of dependent arising is: Ignorance. It creates the Activities that are volitional. Ignorance is defined as not understanding or knowing the true meaning, nature and purpose of existence. Due to ignorance evil and good action or (karmas) performed. Further they leads a individual to reborn. Are means not knowing or understanding the true nature of our existence. Through Ignorance, good or evil deeds are performed which will lead a person to be reborn.
