Empty nest syndrome is the grief experienced by parents and caregivers that occurs when children leave their childhood homes when they enter college or get married. Women are more susceptible to empty nest syndrome than males. However, it may explore freedom and creativity in some people. For example, many of the housewives like to work outside or improve their personal interest after children leave their home.

Nowadays, most of the children return come after college or doing the job for some time to earn a good amount of money and after experiencing a divorce. These are some ways of refilling the empty nest. Most of the children are not leaving home until late 20’s, may be due to the increased number of educational institutions and job opportunities.
