Discuss what you know about "Absolute Threshold and difference Threshold. How are they different? Have you ever had occasion to experience one or the other? Describe this experience
The lowest level of stimulation that anyone can detect half the time is called the absolute threshold. And a small amount of intensity or difference that can be detected between two stimuli by a person is called a difference threshold.
Absolute threshold
As a human we come across the absolute threshold, for example in a winter with full of fog, and you are standing on the railway platform and a train just passed by your side and you hear the whistle sound and the train continues to whistle and you are able to hear the sound but at one point you stop hearing the sound, because your senses are unable to detect it.
A ticking sound of a clock which is hanging on 20 feet in a quiet room.
Difference threshold
For example, a coke cane made a small change in the weight and design if detected than you have strong ‘just noticeable difference’ aka Difference threshold.
