The character was designed as excessively anxious, stuttering while screaming. It first appeared in the book, Who Censored Roger Rabbit by Gary K. Wolf. Its adaptation was the 1988 Academy-Award winning Walt Disney film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Roger is known to inspire a popular dance move in the early 1990s due to the floppy manoeuvres of the character. Roger was a part of the comic book series and a spin-off series called the Roger Rabbit's Toontown.
