Analyze multiple perspective of your life with great consideration of the context of your development (i.e. place, time, people, family, culture, values, laws, neighbours etc – all the ecological concepts)
Here the question is basically based on the ecological system theory which states that a child's development is affected by his/ her social relationships and the world around. This theory was given by Urie Bronfenbrenner. He devided the environment around into five different levels that are, Microsystem, the mesosystem, the exosytem, the macrosystem, and the chronosystem.
Microsystem consists of home, scool, work basically the closest environment. It inckuinc family, peers, caregivers. This is the most influential level.
Mesosytem consists of intractioin between different Microsystems, for example connection of parents with their kids school teacher which working together contributes to the child's development. When two Microsystem works against each other it affects the development negatively.
Exosystem is the system in which the child is not involved but it affects him/her indirectly for example decisions of parents about their own life.
Macrosystem consists of the culture, heritage, common values and identity that a child associates with on a social level.
Chronosystem consists of transition periods in life such as parents divorce or specific pattern of social opportunities that changes over time.
Now let's discuss these stages and systems in context of my development over time.
Microsystem:- I was close to my parents and had an older sibling. My most of the time was spent with my brother, be it going to school with him or going to playground with him accompanying me. My mother was more like of Tom boyish nature so may be that is the reason I am more comfortable being friends with boys than girls. I often bunked my classes in school so family was the most influential part of my development in this system.
Mesosystem :- My mother used to attend every parents teachers meeting. My peers parents were also friends with my parents hence, it all had positive impact on my development.
Exosystem :- later in life my sibling decided to go away from home for education, which left me quite lonely as he was a major part of my every day life. Then my mother too started to work so mostly I stayed alone at home, so this may discribe my comfort and craving for my own company often.
Macrosystem :- I have grown up in India in a culture called maithil culture here. It was different from my peers culture but most of the prople around in the surrounding were of same culture. It is quite a conservative culture in sense of girls independence and marriage, dating etc so in major part of my adolescence I too had a conservative view over these things.
Chronosystem :- so during the period of my becoming adult my sorrounding changed and it was of period when everybody stressed on women empowerment and independence. So I am a more independent in case of decision making about my life than my mother was in her time or still is.
So somehow this is the process of growth and development of human which is really affected by the environment around.
