But on taking an MBA course, you have come to realize that most businesses in Ghana and Africa fail not because of capital adequacy issues but rather, human resources management issues. Answer- The significant expectations about needed competencies that I would give are as follows-

1) The HR managers should have sympathetic attitude towards their subordinates and other co-workers.

2) They should have quick decision making ability so that they can take all decisions at once without any confusion.

3) Good communication skill is very important because an HR manager has to continuously speak to the subordinates and seniors.

4) Patience is of utmost importance because HR manager has to deal with people of various temparament.
