(Answer) Universal laws are those which are applicable despite the region and the culture. For instance, thievery is wrong in America and in China. These universal laws are applied to the ethics, moral conduct and even the rights that are conferred on a citizen. Universal laws claim that all men are endowed with a free will. Based on this will, they are to receive their due human rights and also act in a way that is responsible for other human beings. This would imply that all men are equal and that it is the duty of a governing body to maintain these universal laws.
Since a human being is a “human being” everywhere on earth, similarly, even his morals are to be universal. These universal ethics are values that would be right in any circumstance in any part of the world. This means that despite the change of the place, people, circumstance etc, what is considered wrong is simply wrong. Laws can be circumstantial. However, morals, ethics and values are generally absolute and universal. Kindness and honesty are right throughout the world and murder is wrong.
