Stereotyping associated with disability

Society has looked on the disability as a curse earlier but today the same view exists in different stereotypical views. One of the prominent view is that disability is a disease which is incurable and that they should stay at home. Secondly, people view disabled people as not useful people to the society thus forcing them to stay at home because there is a popular belief that disabled people cannot do productive takes on their own. People think that people with disabilities deserve pity and sometimes they see them as a thing and not as a person. Finally, people with disabilities is treated like an alien whom people fear and stay away.
