People suffering from paraphilia experience intense sexual arousal to the objects around, the situations going on or individuals.

Paraphilias are sexual disorders, urges, sexually arousing fantasies or behaviours that are chronic in nature and cause unusual discomfort or obstruct with work, social tasks and important functioning areas.

Paraphilias are most exclusively diagnosed in men and are rarely observed in women. There is no evidence that women doesnot suffer paraphilias. Many researchers studied paraphilias in women, about a third of the time diagnosed in women.
