describe wavelength, amplitude, and frequency in relationship to vision and hearing

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In vision

Wavelength : it refers to the distance between consecutive peaks of the electromagnetic radiation (visible light )

Amplitude : it is the maximum displacement of the electromagnetic wave perpendicular to direction of propagation.

Frequency : it is the number of cycles completed by light wave in one second.

In hearing

Wavelength : in sound waves wavelength is distance between two consecutive rarefaction or compression.

Amplitude : it is the maximum displacement of particle of medium along the direction of propagation

Frequency : it is the number of cycles completed by sound wave in one second
