Automotive safety has improved dramatically over the past 100 years. Early automobiles were notoriously dangerous to drivers and occupants during crash situations. Over the years, engineers iteratively made improvements that gradually reduced the risk of death and serious injury.

For this discussion you will research to find out how physics has helped to make us safer on the road. You can research any type of vehicle or aspect you would like (car, truck, motorcycle, seat belts, infant car seats, racing cars etc.).
