(Please solve all 3 parts, explain what formula was used and if any
constants were used when solving this problem. All data has been
provided for this problem) Describe the effects of these gases on
the voice
part A: A monatomic ideal gas such as the element Helium
(He)(y=5/3) has a molecular mass of 4.002602 u. Find the speed of
sound in helium, when the human body is operating in normal body
temperature at (37.0 celcius)
part B: The compound Sulfur hexafluoride has a molecular mass
of 146.06 u, while this compounds geometry gives it an adiabatic
ratio of approximatley (y= 1.11) with the given information find
the speed of sound of Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), with the same
ideal body temperature at (37.0 celcius)
Part C: Now consider the following scenario, there are 3 tubes
each having a length of (L). these three tubes represent the human
trachea. one tube is filled with sulfur hexafluoride, one is filled
with helium, and finally one is filled with ordinary air. for this
problem Calculate the ratio of the nth natural frequency of the
Helium and sulfur hexafluoride filled tubes to their corresponding
frequencies in the air filled tube. Explain the
results/answer.
