Consider the Boltzmann-Gibbs principle, also known as the fundamental principle or postulate of statistical mechanics.

a) state that principle for a system that is classically described.

b) state that principle for a system that is quantumly described.

In both cases, be careful to mention the system conditions in which the principle is considered valid.

Answer #1

(A).unlike boltzman distribution which describes probabilistic outcome of whole system from a single atom to macroscopic system, boltzman gibbs distribution applies some restrictions on this probabilistic outcome.in the classical case it limits the space in a certain range,as wavefuntion of system gets definite shape in that region, but it allows the energy to take any range...means in classical this distribution restrict the shape of system but do not restrict the energy of system.

(B).in quantum this distribution restrict the probability distribution of energies of system, but do not restrict the wavefunction space.so the wavefunction shape is determined by other conditions like continuity, but energy of quantum system follows the boltzman gibbs distribution.

Gibbs Free Energy: Equilibrium Constant Nitric oxide, NO, also known as nitrogen monoxide, is one of the primary contributors to air pollution, acid rain, and the depletion of the ozone layer. The reaction of oxygen and nitrogen to form nitric oxide in an automobile engine is N2(g)+O2(g)?2NO(g) The spontaneity of a reaction can be determined from the free energy change for the reaction, ?G?. A reaction is spontaneous when the free energy change is less than zero. A reaction...

Matched Pairs Burping (also known as "belching" or "eructation") is one way the human body expels excess gas in your digestive system. It occurs when your stomach fills with air, which can be caused by swallowing food and liquids. Drinking carbonated beverages, such as soda, is known to increase burping because its bubbles have tiny amounts of carbon dioxide in them. As an avid soda drinker and statistics student, you notice you tend to burp more after drinking root beer...

She was pregnant at the time and was experiencing the condition commonly, and misleadingly, known as morning sickness. Hormone-induced nausea doesn't know what time of day it is. Tomlinson, a 30-year-old single mother and packer at a Walmart Distribution Center in Atlanta, told her supervisor that she wasn't feeling well. In response, he explained that in order for him to give her a...
