Clock: the minute and the hour hand rotate about a common axis of rotation. Their moments of inertia can be calculated if know the dimensions and the masses, as if they were little rods rotating about a perpendicular axis passing through their end point. The torque is produced by the motor of the clock, which uses a battery or another source of electrical energy

Fan: the blades are the rotating parts. They can also be modeled as long thin rods gyrating about their ends. The torque is caused by the electric motor of the fan.

Roller shade: in this case the rotating part is the tube where the shade is wound up, so for the inertia we can consider a cyllinder spining about it's own principal axis. The torque is produced manually by pulling the chain.
