Look up, and write down the meaning of, the word "panspermia." How likely or unlikely a possibility is this scenario? If this is actually how life on Earth began, what do you think this would do to our way of thinking about ourselves?

It is one of the theory of Genesis of life on earth also known as theory of biogenesis. We cannot say for sure that whether it was case or not but many experiment shows that life could be formed on earth itself in that primitive environment. We can certainly not deny that we might be generated from Some pre-existing life but we don't have enough proof that supports this idea.Some pre-existing life but we don't have enough proof that supports this idea. As till now we haven't found any extra terrestrial life so we cannot firmly agree on that theory. In my sense the better theory is theory of abiogenesis which says that life has been evolved from the earth itself.
