1)In hookes law experiment, how can we determine the accuracy and the precision of the results that we obtain from the graph extension force against extension of the spring?Explain your answer.

2)How can we say if the graph extension force against extension of the spring obeys the hookes law?.What are the elements that we should look for in the graph?

3)What are the purposes of calculating the spring constant of the spring by finding the gradient of the graph?

Can you help me answer these 3 questions.I really need your help.thank you so much for your help.

1)

* Use a meter ruler checking it is perpendicular to the floor using a set square and clamping it in the position using a retort stand to increse the accuracy.

*Keep the temperature of the room constant

2)

If the force-extension graph gives a straight line, we can say that the material obeys hookes law.

We should plot the graph axes values uniformly, the slope of the graph should be the same until the elastic limit of the grsph.

3)

we can use the material for different purposes by finding the modulus of elasticity of the material. materials of different modulus of elasticity are required for different purposes.

We can derive the potential energy stored in an ideal spring when it is stretched or compressed by computing the work done due to Hooke’s law. In this experiment we will be working with springs. When they are not being stretched by some external force, the coils of these springs are held tightly together by the spring’s rigidity. They are held so tightly that a small amount of weight can be hung from these springs, and they don’t stretch at...

Finding the Spring Constant We can describe an oscillating mass in terms of its position, velocity, and acceleration as a function of time. We can also describe the system from an energy perspective. In this experiment, you will measure the position and velocity as a function of time for an oscillating mass and spring system, and from those data, plot the kinetic and potential energies of the system. Energy is present in three forms for the mass and spring system....

Case#1: Develop a personal sense of time Keeping a time log One important way by which you can develop a personal sense of time is to keep a time log, recording how your time is actually spent over a period of say, a week. The principle of a time log or audit is to divide each day for the next week or two into fteen minute intervals. At the end of each hour record how the previous hour was spent. Keeping...
