We can surrvive under such a high atmospheric pressure because the external pressure (air) is balanced by internal pressure , that is due various solids and liquids we are made of.

The pressure inside our lungs, ears, stomach etc. are same as the pressure outside that is atmospheric pressure. They are alwwys in equilibrium.

Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi. An air column is always above us which weighs nearly 22000 lbs is always pressing us but balanced by pressure inside our body.
