There are many factors that influence the melting point of nanoparticles but the reason behind all this is temperature. In nano particle what happens is melting point is depressed by almost 100 degree from that it have in bulk phase ...... actually what happens is in nano particle surface to volume ratio is increased by high amount so that particle bound at surface in solid phase have less cohesive energy because neighbor atoms are less for bonding so that they easily get separate at elevated temperature....and that the reason is the properties of nano particals are much different from what they have in bulk phase
