Which statements of the following is true

(a) Isobaric process is one of contestant pressure

(b) Isothermal process is one of contstant temperature

(c) Closed syste, is one in which mass does not crosss its boundry

Homework Answers

Answer #1

All the above three statments are true i.e (a),(b) and (c) are true.

(a) Isobaric process is one of the constant pressure.

When the pressure in the system is constant and does not change with any parameter so the process is Isobaric process.

for isobaric process

(b) Isothermal process is one of the constant temperature.

In isothermal process the temperature of the system does not vary with any other parameter. for isothermal process

(c) Closed system is one in which mass does not cross its boundry

In closed system the there is no change of mass while the open system is one in which mass can also change with other parameters.

Example of closed system is foot ball. The gas in the ball is remains constant while the temperature and hemce energy got interacted.

3.0 moles of an ideal gas are subjected to the following processes. First the volume is tripled in an isobaric process. Then it undergoes an isothermal process to a pressure of 9.0 kPa. Which of the following statements is not true about a closed cycle according to the laws of thermodynamics? Group of answer choices Temperature, internal energy and pressure can be used to describe various the states of the system. In a cycle, the initial and final states are the same. No heat enters or is expelled from the system during an adiabatic leg of a cycle. There are special processes in which heat is absorbed from a reservoir and converted competely...
