Is it possible for a reversible first order endothermic reaction to have multiple steady state (MSS)? Please explain why!
Solution:
No
Solution
For an endothermic reaction HRX is positive, (e.g., HRX=+100 kJ/mole).
There are no multiple steady states for an endothermic, reversible first order reactor. The steady state reactor temperature is TS.
