Answer #1

Pepsi has a brand image of unhealthy soft drinks on the market. The company has never tried to come out of that image and they are trying to get youngsters. Where the company Coca-Cola has been very successful in getting closer all the segments of the customer. They make sure that they inform that customers that every coke is safe to consume and they tell it an effective way. Pepsi has not been successful in following the same strategy. The competitors are aware of this fact and they are taking advantage of it. This is a very big weakness because they have lost a lot of market share to Coca-Cola for the same reason. Any other small player can also make use of this weakness and compete against Pepsi in the market.
