Homework Answers

Answer #1

A sampling frame is basically the source material from where a sample is drawn for analysis. AN ideal sampling frame will be one in which all data is homogeneous and no external factor has any considerable effect on its existence.

An ideal sampling frame is quite difficult to achieve in real life. The data in the sampling frame comes from various sources and thus maintaining the homogeneity of the sample can be quite difficult to achieve.

If an ideal frame is not available, then a list frame can be put to action. List frame basically consists of list of observable units on which single stage sampling can be performed with ease. hence the demographic –usage study will be facilitated by this sampling frame.
