Assignment 2 – Sampling Dano’s Pizza has a limited budget to collect data and it is facing a tight timeline.

1. Which survey method(s) would you recommend to Dano’s Pizza (for example, mailed survey, posted survey on website)? Why? Please be specific.

2. Who should be the survey respondents? And why?

3. What type of sampling method should be used (non-probability/probability)? Which specific sampling technique should be used? Please provide your reasoning as well.

4. How many respondents should be surveyed by Dano’s Pizza, assuming it wants to be 95% confident that the estimates from the sample are within ½ a point (on a 1-7 scale) of the true value and given that the population standard deviation is 1.5.

(there is no background information needed. These are conceptual questions (what would be the best survey t use with limited time and money and what kind of sampling technique/method would be best used?). Only one that requires math is number 4

1. Since the survery is regarding their online ordering platform it makes sense to post a survery on the website as a pop up when the website is opened by them and mention how much time would it take. It should be less than 20 seconds with a mention that it is required to improve their services so the customers take it
2. Respondents should be the customers who have their account made in the online platform. They are the main users of the platform and it would be sensible to take note of their experience first hand
3. Non -probability sampling  is widely used when researchers aim at conducting qualitative research, pilot studies or exploratory research. Since the purpose of the survery is to examine the qualitity of the online order system only it is advised to take NP sampling
4. If we assume that popluation of 100,000 than sample size of 4094 would be required with SD of 1.50
