Research and describe two decision support systems (names, features, pros and cons) that you recommend. Explain why. Also, briefly describe their data mining technique and assess their value to an organization.

The two decision support systems that I would recommend is the Data-driven support system and Document-driven support system.

Data Driven support system - A data driven support system can help in gathering data and analyse the same. By analysing the data, we can determine a solution or forecast can be derived through the same after proper validation of the data. The advantages of data driven support system is that we can track the progress of opportunities building up within the organisation and plan in grabbing those opportunities. The disadvantage of data driven decision support system is that thorough validation of data has to be done and if there is any mistake in the data validation, it might prove to be a risk in the future which might lead to loss as well.

Document-driven support system - This decision support system is widely used amongst organisations. Since document driven support system works on gathering data through searching from documents by searching for a keyword. By doing so, we can gather additional information as well or we can save the document for future reference. This is an advantage which this decision support system gives. The disadvantage is that it is time taking to gather the exact documents required and also to review each document thoroughly is a daunting task.
