For any person working in data analytics field, about 70% time of an data analyst goes in cleaning, sorting and bringing the data into a format on which analysis can be carried out. Remaining, 20% of the time goes into processing on the data and the rest on preparing insights. Here, we can prepare a pie chart showing the classification of work of a data analyst. Moreover, we can also do pareto analysis and prepare a pareto chart showing that majority of a data analyst's time goes into cleaning and sorting of the raw data. Please see below the pros and cons of each graphical option: -

1) Pie-chart: A pie chart can be really useful visual tool whenever we have a small data set and less number of classifications as mentioned above. A person can easily visualise the data and make comments. It is also very easy to understand. However, whenever we have huge sets of data, this is not a good option

2) Pareto-chart: As in case of a pie-chart, we can make this chart and is really easy to understand. We can also show as to which of the point is actually taking up most of the effort. However, this is not that useful in case of large datasets.
