Answer #1

With the integration of SWOT(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) and QFD(Quality Function Deployment) a company can achieve the target to increase sale of a product.

For example a soft drink company wants to enter a new market with its established soft drink product then before entering that market it has to consider both SWOT & QFD and with their integration can win the new market as per below.

Strengths- Strengths in terms of human capital, technology, its proven methods of marketing a product, etc.

Weaknesses- Weaknesses in terms of very less knowledge of new market.

Opportunities- Opportunities in terms of market share which they can capture in the new market

Threats- Threats in terms of already established competitor.

Above points are very necessary to consider before moving ahead with any decision.

QFD- Quality Function Deployment(QFD)- Quality functional deployment is very necessary to understand and implement since it demands from company to make strategy according to tastes, preferences and likes and dislikes of their target customer since this is the deciding factor in order to make their product successful in that new market.

Integration of SWOT & QFD- SWOT gives the roadmap, means the opportunities available with its given threats in terms of competition and its already existed weaknesses in terms of new market area with very less information and company's available strengths in this field and then how to materialise and integrate the opportunity which new market is giving by considering customers tastes, preferences, liking and disliking for their product in order to make their product successful.

Company by doing survey can gather information about their target audience/customer's tastes, preferences, liking and disliking for the soft drink product and their reaction and response upon entry of new soft drink company in their market And with given survey result company makes its strategy and enters the market in order to be successful and capture the soft drink market share. So with the integration of SWOT and QFD this is possible by considering customer in mind.

The best solution to the problem of how to enter the new market and capture its share is to make a good use of SWOT & QFD by focusing customers tastes and preferences in mind and then enter the market and this strategy will surely give fruits in terms of return on the investment and for the long term establishment and survival of company in the new market.
