Do you believe that Lafarge's actions in Syria were ethical or unethical?
Yeah, as they had violated the rule by the end of the day. While the tried to keep staff out of the horrible position in which they were both funding a militant organization and helping to finance their criminal acts. The reasons that Lafarge managers created to explain their decision to compensate terrorist groups in Syria is to shield their staff from terror organization killing. I don't think, that's why I think they put a lot of money into the business and didn't want it to be closed away and ignore their profit. They would like to earn extra profit and they didn't care about the employees who worked in their firm. The French government has brought the charge against Lafarge cement for paying and communicating the ISIS through its local branch in Syria. Obviously the organization just worried for the plant while they claimed they were shielding their workers and they compensated for it, there was no assurance it their workers would be safe. They had worked for months to the rhythm of remote conflicts as the Islamic State fought brutal fights to conquer land in the quickly worsening civil war in Syria. Lafarge did not want the plant to be dismantled but wanted to keep it going so that it would be better placed after the civil war was finished. And in a world where war devastated the economy, the people, all the local employees, had few other jobs choices.
