Answer #1

There are various techniques that an employer might adopt to bring a new recruit onboard.

The new employee must be informally introduced to the key staff members so that they can feel welcome in the work environment. This makes them confident in their subsequent interaction with the staff and removes the divide between old and the new workforce.

A formal lunch can be held at the office where people from different departments can come and sit together to chat with the employee and give him/her an idea of the overall work ecosystem.

Mentoring roles should be assigned to the older staff at the office. This makes sure that there is always one person that the employee can approach if they face any difficulties. Mentors also enjoy such roles as it reaffirms to them their importance in the company.

The manager should invite the employee to discuss their role in the company and provide positive responses to any questions that the employee might have. This makes them more aware of their responsibilities and the motivation for participation in the collective success of the team.

The employee must be given regular reviews of their work in the team. This encourages them to gauge their performances and try to do better. It synergizes them to work harder and learn quicker.
