Benchmarking is not a resource reduction, but it can improve the
satisfaction level of the customer because benchmarking is the act
of comparing the business of process and performance of a company
with the best practices from other companies. If the company is
comparing itself from other companies which is far better than the
the company it gradually improve itself with respect to the
different metrics such as quality of the product, delivery time of
the product etc. As a matter of fact If a company improve in
several factors the satisfaction level of the customer will
definitely increase and it will lead to higher sales. For example-
there are several companies in the smartphone market which are
competing against each other, but the mobile company which stand
out as best as compared to other companies is apple which makes the
iPhone. One of the reason the company is is best in terms of
customer experience is it has a unique iOS operating system which
is far better than the Android, so the companies which are selling
smartphone must try to improve the user experience of Android and
make necessary changes, so that it can give good competition to iOS
and also improve itself.
