Answer #1

The company I would like to talk about is Amazon. The supply chain structure of Amazon is solely based on three functions which are Planning of the Inputs, Communicating of the essential movement and processes and Controlling of the Output to ensure the proper delivery of each supplier could be maintained in respect to the Amazon to reach and deliver the right product to the right customer at the right time. The flow could be studied as under:

1. Order Statement: The first process and the step in the supply management would be the order statement. The customer would use the Amazon application and website to make an order and place the required specification about the choice and product/service from the website. The payment and every details would be made to make the order on Amazon.

2. Supplier Notification: The same order is placed with the Amazon and the same supplier would be notified about the same product or service being placed. Thus, the same suppliers who are registered with Amazon are notified that the product is ordered and supplier makes the next move for the next step.

3. Dispatch: Now, the Amazon verified supplier would dispatch the same product that is being ordered and thus the same process is taken out. The dispatch is made to the Amazon about the product being ordered and the Amazon's centre which is near the customer recieves the same.

4. Delivery from Amazon: Now, the same product is being recieved from the Amazon and the final delivery would be made to the customer so that the customer gets the product he ordered. An effective feedback is provided to make sure the awaited delivery is good.
