Many restaurants, small or large, have been trying to adopt new technologies for their operations. First, describe new and emerging technologies used in the restaurant industry and second, elaborate how these technologies enhance customer experience ( at least two different types of technologies).

The restaurant industry is a vast and competitive business, that is at a continuous pace. The use of technology is changing the trend and hospitality manner. The way customer is being communicated, serviced, and made happy by the help of technological advancement makes them revisit the restaurant by full satisfaction. If we see on a very small example that the internet which is also a part of technology helps to find out the restaurant location, which is the first step. Nowadays we are surrounded by the use of technology in every step and stage, from finding a restaurant to paying a bill by an online payment. This all is being done to help us, makes our life easy and comfortable, and hospitality is adapting to give better and best service.

The new technologies which are in trend and is emerging a great advancement are:

1. Self-ordering Kiosks- This a small digital system that takes orders from the customer, accepts payment from many different modes, avoids a waiting queue, saves space in the guest area, saves manpower, reduces work stress, and is accurate and quick. With so many features this technology is going to emerge in the industry soon although McDonald has already started.
2. Robotic Chefs- This is true that robots will be used only for making orders fast and do it well-managed manner. They will not cook like a human chef, but the combination of humans and robots has always done the best work. The work schedule, automation in kitchen gadgets with the optimum result will be the function for robots. This will definitely give a pace to restaurant efficiency and effectiveness.

There are many new technologies like Wifi services, online marketing through social media, taking orders on the restaurant sites, booking the table, giving order through food delivery apps, etc but they all are almost implemented but the Kiosks and robotic help in the kitchen are still being implemented in the restaurants. This technology will help and make the customer satisfied with the services by more accurate efficiency by the machines. Hospitality is an industry that runs only when the customer is happy. This type of clean, quick, and efficient service will be easy for customer, will appreciate, and will be loyal to the restaurant visit. This can be a great competitive advantage.
