Answer #1

Correct Answer:
Make contact with the individual with the goal of persuading that person to return the money

Explanation:
In the give scenario, I would like to interact with the concerned person and convince him to return the money. It is good for all the stakeholders associated with the issues. As per the utilitarian approach of ethics, my initiatives to interact with the person, to return the money, will cause him to get lesser disciplinary action and set an example to other employees. It will do a good for the majority of the people associated with the organization. It will also save the person from the penal action if found culprit after the inquiry. On the basis of deontological approach, the intention of my action is to save the person against the strong penal action as well as the organization and its reputation, because it is morally right and morally high conduct.
