Deregulation and migration to hub and spoke model has affected fleet planning because due to the availability of a single node, the logistics team has to plan the movement of fleet in such a manner that it reaches every spoke in a timely manner whereas if multiple nodes were available then due to a network transportation plan, all the spokes would be covered through different nodes without the need of much planning. Eg. In case of Amazon, they have to plan their logistics in such a manner that the customers in a particular region are covered and goods get shipped to them in a timely manner with a constraint of only a single fulfillment centre present in that region.
