Any employing organization needs to clarify in its strategy as to what methodology to follow to maintain the organization. If we take a college as an employing organization it becomes great importance to set a methodology for structure maintenance. I think Self-interest or mission success would be the most important pairing. This is because a college is not focused on making revenue or profits as the primary motive. Since, there is a big number of people involved in the operations, there should be a clarity in what the focus of an individual is. I would put mission success over self-interest because as an employee of a college, the focus should be maximum on the overall development of the entire student community. The combined focus towards a mission is critical and plays a long hand role in overall operation of a college. Within strategy or structure, I think structure is more important as in a college, it is very important to maintain a clear hierarchy and it helps in smooth functioning of operations. Then, accountability is very important as the employees need to take responsibility of their work as in many cases the work allotted is quite critical like exam papers, etc.
