Green HR practices have become very much significant in the organization’s growth and development in the recent years. As the companies adopt sustainable practices to protect the environment and give back to the community, HRM also should develop strategies that would assist the organization in their eco friendly initiatives. The employee support is very essential for all these activities and HR department can help to ensure the employee support by providing necessary training, developing policies that support sustainability and providing rewards to the employees for their contributions which would help to motivate the employees. The examples for green HR practices show that it is not much difficult for the HR department to align their function with environment sustainability practices. Some of the activities include reduction of business travel by utilizing teleconferencing, reduce paper usage by using apps and electronic systems, organizing car pools to reduce pollution through motor vehicles, use of recycled resources and saving water by utilizing waste water. All these would help the organization to reduce cost along with increasing the reputation among public. Most of the employees prefer to work in organizations that create value through their activities increasing the employee retention. Hence green HR can add great value to the organization in all aspects and all the organizations that strive for success should start planning their activities to promote green HR.
