healthy kidsneys keep the biocarbonate in balance. They reabsorb bicarbonate from the urine into the bloodstream. So the kidney disease

H2CO3+H20 <---------------> HCO3- + H30+

what is the stressor? explain what a stressor is

The hydronium ion would increase or decrease ? how do you know

How do you know what the stressor is

How do you know which way the equation would shift

Answer #1

The stressor is Metabolic alkalosis= is a metabolic condition in which the pH of tissue is elevated beyond the normal range(decreased hydrogen ion concentration, leading to increased bicarbonate, ) . The metabolic alkalosis is a condition in which the ph of the blood is elevated it is caused by increased concentration of the bicarbonate in the blood are due to kidney disease, the hydrogen ions are eliminated from the body.

hydronium ion will decrease as the H+ ion is eliminated via urine and increase in the bicarbonate in the serum , the hydronium ion is excreted as shown in the reaction the ion will dissociate to water and free hydrogen ion which is then eliminated

The bicarbinate will definitely reabsorbed into the blood stream which can lead to then metabolic alkalosis

The equation will shift to the right to eliminate the bicarbonate ion
