In the U.S., healthcare delivery is increasingly a for-profit enterprise. Consider that you are responsible for healthcare public policy at a state or federal level. From the perspective of distributive justice, what modifications, revisions, or large-scale overhaul would you recommend to be undertaken by legislative bodies? Reasons for increased cost of care in US are

1) New technologies are being invented, also new drug prescription add to the cost

2) Risk of chronic diseases including obesity

3) High Administrative cost are due to following reasons

- Uneven coverage of health insurance in U S

- some communities in U S avoids physical activities like walking, running, cycling etc

- high premium of health insurance

If I was reponsible for health care public policy, i would have made following modifications.

- health insurance would be mandatory and basic coverage is universal

- beneficiary can go to any doctor

-Basic health insurance covered for all eventualities

- Rewards are given for keeping fit.

- More stress is given on prevention rather than treatment.

- Increasing awareness about importance of physical activity and hazards of junk food among public.
