A scenario of a patient with GERD

In an Emergency department a 62 year old male Patient came with complaints of Chest pain. The nurse took the vitals signs of the patient and asked about the other symptoms or diseases he has. The vital signs showns BP- 135/74, Hr, 94 b/min, RR - 20b/min, Spo2- 96% in room air. The patient complains of burning sensation in the chest which is radiating to the shoulder. As per the patinet this symptoms started after taking meal in the afternoon and worsened by evening. He also complains he coughs in the night often and also has a bad taste in the mouth when he wakes up after sleep. In the past he had trouble with heart burn and was taking antacids for the same. The nurse informs the Doctor about the patient and also informs about the vital signs recorded.
