Project management is a process of leading the work of a team so that success can be achieved within the specified time or in simple terms to complete all the project works within time constraints.

There are 5 different phases of project management which includes conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance and monitoring and finally closing the project. The key concepts include what is the project about and the role of project manager, project manager have all the authority and power as described in the pmbok guide, Every organisation has the right to choose their project works based on their strategic goals, duty of the project manager to check whether the project is meeting the goals.

Project standards are the criterias which control the way in which the project is to be carried out.

PMBOK guides:- a) Foundational standards. This include the project works that have been tested and proven. b) Practice Standards and Framework. This includes the upcoming project works that have been mentioned in the foundational standards. c) Practice Guides.It guides the professional management to apply the standards in foundational and practice standards.
