I've been reading how some bacteria will inhibit apoptosis and induce necrosis to inhibit immune response but either way the cell dies so why is one helpful to the bacterium but not the other?? How does preventing apoptosis inhibit immune response?
The reason apoptosis is helpful is because balance of cells in the human body is maintained also apoptosis removes cells during the process of development.it removes pre cancerous and virus infected cells. Why necrosis is not beneficial is because necrotic death and chronic inflammation may Foster the onset and growth of tumors. 2) how does preventing apoptosis inhibit immune response. It's protects cells population by limited viral replication from infected cells in unicellular organism. The ability of viruses to inhibit apoptosis could extremely alter the immune response.
