Answer #1

We should admit such patients in de-addiction centre for alcohol withdrawal, primerly large amount of IV fluids we can administer the patient to reducing the volume of alcohol inblood,we can administer the medications like sedatives, disulfuram,Acamprosate,Naltrexone and vitamins, the procedure is called as Detox. The other therapies are cognitive behavioral therapy, support group interactions, psychotherapy,Aversion therapy ect.No drugs cure alcohol addiction but some can help to recover, the medications make the drinking less enjoyable so the patien dont want to do it as much. The recovery can take long time so the patient may need long term treatment.
